Editorial transparency

How OAXWAY verifies information

The standards OAXWAY uses for starting fares, verifiable facts, update dates and material corrections without presenting unverified claims as established facts.

OAXWAY separates commercial data, verifiable facts and editorial copy to reduce contradictions and make clear what is backed by an approved datum or a source.

  • Commercial transfer fares come from route_tariffs and are presented as From/starting fares.
  • Verifiable or volatile facts use verified_facts and visible provenance where applicable.
  • An update date means the page content changed; it does not mean every external fact was re-verified that day.
  • Material errors are corrected without discarding system auditability.

Fares: one commercial source

Public transfer fares come from approved entries in route_tariffs. The interface presents them as starting fares per vehicle and direction where applicable. We avoid freezing literal OAXWAY amounts inside editorial copy or metadata because a copied number can become stale relative to the current approved fare.

Verifiable and changing facts

When a number or changing statement is managed as a verifiable fact, the verified_facts workflow preserves its value, source, date and status. Provenance is displayed by blocks that support it. Road, airport and other volatile claims should be checked against an approved or official source before being stated as current facts.

What the update date means

The visible Last updated date reflects a change to the page content. We do not label it an editorial review and do not claim that every external fact on the page was re-verified on that date.

Citations, sources and responsibility

Not every editorial sentence requires an external citation. Quantitative, volatile or higher-risk factual claims should have verifiable provenance when the system supports it. We do not add source links merely to appear authoritative and do not present an inference as a verified datum.

Operator, reviews and proprietary data

OAXWAY keeps its identity separate from the operator that physically provides the service. We do not publish reviews or ratings that do not actually exist. We also will not publish proprietary operational statistics —such as observed travel times— until there is a sufficient sample of real completed services and a defensible aggregate.

Corrections

When we identify a material error, we correct the affected content while preserving the auditability recorded by the system. If the correction belongs to a tariff or structured fact, it is made in that source rather than creating another independent copy.

Scope

These standards describe how OAXWAY publishes and maintains site information. Contractual terms and personal-data processing are explained separately on the relevant legal pages.
